Included in the chargers in a care card stating 

“These charger plates were handmade by skilled artisans using traditional Chinese art forms. Numerous clear lacquer coats are applied to provide unique luster and protection. Due to the handmade nature of this product, each piece will be slightly different and may appear to have minor blemishes. These are normal and, with proper care, the charger plates will last for many years.

To clean, use a soft damp cloth and dry immediately. We do not recommend soaking in water for long periods of time, as this could loosen the hand-applied beads.”
